Senior QA Automation EngineerGenesis10 is currently seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role serves as a subject matter expert with deep functional and technical knowledge of assigned applications, partnering closely with Development and Product teams to ensure quality outcomes. The ideal candidate will lead and govern testing efforts, define comprehensive test strategies, and mentor junior team members while driving testing best practices.Responsibilities:Serve as a subject matter expert with deep functional and technical knowledge of assigned applicationsLead and govern testing efforts across business change initiativesDefine and execute comprehensive test strategies, ensure appropriate coverage, and analyze resultsMentor and coach junior team members, drive testing best practices, and champion continuous improvementAssess the impact of new or modified requirements on existing and new systemsProactively identify project bottlenecks, risks, and impediments, tracking issues to resolutionOversee defect management end-to-end, including identification, prioritization, and root cause analysisAct as the primary escalation point for testing-related issuesLeverage enterprise testing and delivery tools such as JIRA and ALM OctaneProvide guidance on test automation strategy and adoptionDevelop and maintain the System Test Plan, including risk assessments and test approachRequirements:Demonstrated expertise in QA processes, testing standards, and delivery quality governance in complex environmentsStrong command of test planning, execution, defect management, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working within Agile or hybrid delivery modelsExperience with Selenium and Cucumber for test automationProficiency with Agile tools such as Jira and BitbucketExperience with Functional/Manual TestingStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a risk-based mindsetProven stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business audiencesAbility to work effectively across distributed teams and drive quality initiatives in a matrixed organizationDesired skills:SDM/Horizon automationKnowledge of IBM Connect:DirectKnowledge of IBM/Sterling's Sterling Integrator 5.x/6.xPay range: $49.37 - $57.37 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
