Quality Assurance Engineer
IDEALFORCE has a contract position available immediately for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our customer in Austin, TX. This is an on-site position. Job Description
- Effectively translate business requirements and use cases into comprehensive test plans, test scripts, and test cases based on an iterative development approach.
- Develop and execute system test scripts, conditions, cases, and jobs.
- Participate in SDLC phase reviews.
- Develop and maintain QA policies, procedures, and methodology for system test planning, development, and execution.
- Develop automated regression scripts and ensure regression testing is planned and executed appropriately.
- Track/document and work to resolve all complex problems, defects, or issues.
- Plan, manage, and provide system test status on application support and development releases.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in QA testing.
- Full understanding of software development life cycle.
- Understanding of service oriented architecture and agile development methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance and system test tools/processes.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with business analysis, system design, and application development.
- Excellent organizational skills are required in order to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
- Exceptional customer service orientation skills.
- Experience with Microsoft.Net and Oracle development.
- Good experience in HP Quality Center.
- Basic database and SQL concepts knowledge.
- Familiarity with version control standards and tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Any experience testing web applications using HP QTP or Selenium would be a huge plus.
