B2B Area Manager, Fulfillment Operations, Fri - Mo 11a-9p Location: 400 Smoke Tree Plz, North Aurora, IL 60542 Schedule: Friday through Monday 11am-9pm As a member of the ShipBob team, you will lead and develop a team of leads and associates in our fulfillment centers, driving process improvements, maintaining a safe work environment, tracking operational performance across metrics, fostering employee engagement, and owning your team’s development. What you’ll do Manage, build, and develop a team of 30+ warehouse associates (Temp and FTE). Review weekly work forecasts and identify productivity requirements to meet overall building objectives. Partner with other Area Managers to balance labor, ensuring efficient shifts while meeting all goals. Own operational metric reporting, including VCPO, UPH, OPH (Batch, Labelling, Pick, Pack), on‑time receiving and shipping, merchant SLA’s and injury rate. Identify improvement areas, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions. Ensure teams are properly trained on processes, understand metrics and performance goals, and that their needs are addressed for optimal performance. Provide coaching, accountability, and motivation. Develop Lead talent, ensuring they receive necessary tools, training, and resources. Actively foster employee engagement onsite by participating in cultural activities and programs. Review and approve associate timecards daily. Serve as the contact for escalated issues, mitigating risk and resolving quickly and effectively. Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to maintain a safe environment. Supervise daily workflows to ensure products are handled and stored correctly per safety and quality procedures. Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary. What you’ll bring to the table 2+ years of people management and operational leadership experience within a high‑volume 3PL fulfillment environment (preferred in e‑commerce, retail, or manufacturing). Ability to manage performance, deliver feedback, train, and develop talent. Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerBI, and TMS systems. Strong analytical skills and experience tracking and achieving KPIs. Excellent attention to detail and communication skills. Comfort navigating and managing ambiguity. Hardworking, detail‑oriented, and passionate about helping small businesses compete online. Ability to build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders and carrier partners. Willingness to work rotating shifts and non‑traditional hours as needed. The full base pay range for this position is $50,363 – $83,938. In addition to base salary, the role includes the opportunity for participation in the Company’s discretionary bonus plan based on performance.
