This role will primarily function as an Exam Room Veterinary Assistant, helping support doctors throughout appointments while serving as a client care ambassador for the hospital. We are looking for someone who naturally forms relationships, communicates with confidence and compassion, and enjoys providing a concierge-style experience for every client who walks through our doors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and support doctors during appointments Obtain patient histories and document medical information accurately Collect patient vitals and assist with patient handling Serve as a liaison between doctors and clients Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and discharge instructions Conduct follow-up calls after appointments and procedures Build strong relationships with clients and their pets Help ensure every client feels welcomed, informed, and supported Assist with patient treatments and routine nursing care as needed Support hospital workflow and patient flow throughout the day Work collaboratively with doctors, technicians, assistants, and client service representatives

Qualifications

• Previous Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Client Communication Specialist/Receptionist experience preferred Strong client communication skills required
• Previous experience working in a veterinary hospital setting is required Experience obtaining patient histories and vitals preferred Comfortable working in a fast-paced general practice environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Positive, team-oriented attitude Fear Free experience is a plus Vetspire experience is a plus but not required

Schedule

• We believe in work-life balance and offer:
• Four (4) 10-hour shifts per week Full-time employment Rotating Saturdays Consistent scheduling whenever possible

Compensation

$21.00 - $23.00 per hour Compensation is based on experience, technical proficiency, and overall skill set.
