Job Summary:
Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity in a post-acute care setting. Located in a 1 trauma level facility, this role involves providing dialysis care to medical/surgical patients and supporting off-unit runs in ICU or step-down units. The position offers day shifts with a focus on patient monitoring, running dialysis treatments on Fresenius 2008T equipment, and assessing patient needs.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois (IL) license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated, BLS certification (American Heart Association), minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, and proficiency in running dialysis treatments on Fresenius 2008T.
• Preferred Qualifications: Strong physical assessment skills.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to general/med surg floors as helping hands, sitter, or behavioral health monitor; not assigned to patients directly.
• Additional Information:
  • Work involves running dialysis and monitoring patients, with care provided for a broad patient population across hospital units.
  • Orientation includes 1-3 days with a preceptor at the medical center.
  • Shift includes every other Saturday and one Sunday approximately every 8 weeks, as well as every other holiday; closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
  • No call or standby requirement.
  • Dress code is any color with matching top and bottom.
  • Patients may be on CPAP or BiPAP for sleep when on the unit.
