Senior Scheduler

We are seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler to coordinate and optimise complex schedules across multiple projects, teams, and operational priorities. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating integrated schedules, ensuring that activities are properly sequenced, resources are available, and key milestones are achieved on time. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, technical specialists, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to identify dependencies, resolve scheduling conflicts, and provide accurate progress information.


Key responsibilities include preparing detailed baseline and delivery schedules; monitoring progress against approved plans; analysing delays, risks, and potential impacts; and recommending recovery or mitigation strategies. You will lead regular schedule review meetings, update forecasts, maintain accurate records, and produce clear reports for senior stakeholders. The role will also involve reviewing work plans and change requests, assessing schedule implications, supporting resource planning, and ensuring that scheduling procedures, controls, and reporting standards are consistently applied. You will be expected to challenge assumptions constructively and promote effective planning and coordination across all areas of delivery.


Applicants should have substantial experience in a senior scheduling, project controls, planning, or programme coordination role, ideally within a complex project or operational environment. Strong knowledge of scheduling principles, critical path analysis, progress measurement, risk management, and change control is required. Experience using recognised planning and scheduling software, together with advanced skills in spreadsheets and reporting tools, is highly desirable. You will need excellent analytical and organisational abilities, strong attention to detail, and the confidence to communicate with stakeholders at all levels. A proactive approach, sound judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential. Relevant professional qualifications or industry accreditation would be advantageous.
