Principal Systems Engineer - Capital Systems

This is a growth-driven addition to a systems engineering team supporting complex medical device capital equipment platforms. The role is heavily focused on systems architecture, requirements engineering, traceability, and technical documentation, with responsibility for driving system-level design decisions and technical alignment across software, electrical, mechanical, and quality teams. This individual will help guide products from development through commercialization while solving complex integration challenges and advancing systems engineering best practices across the organization.Compensation: Up to $170,000 base salary + 15% annual bonusRequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical disciplineMedical device product development experience, specifically supporting complex capital equipment systems5+ years of Systems Engineering experience, with consideration given to both Senior and Principal-level candidatesStrong background in systems architecture, requirements development, decomposition, allocation, and end-to-end traceabilityExperience with requirements management tools such as Jama, Codebeamer, Jira, or similar platformsExperience leading cross-functional product development efforts involving hardware, software, electrical, and mechanical engineering teamsStrong communication skills with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholdersEOE Statement: Specialist Staffing Group is an equal opportunity employer.
