Residential Painter – REN Apartments (Seattle, WA) REN has an immediate opening for an experienced Painter! Our team members are high performers that care about customer service and exceed expectations. The Painter plays a critical role in our success. REN Apartments is a brand new 457‑unit, mixed‑use luxury tower in the heart of Downtown Seattle’s high‑tech neighborhood. The Painter is responsible for painting the interior and exterior areas of the property. This position is also responsible for ensuring apartments are painted and made ready for move‑in, as well as assisting the maintenance team with service requests as needed. Daily Responsibilities Being part of a team and having fun while providing excellent customer service Completes all needed repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move‑in by following the community’s make‑ready checklist. Ensures apartment homes have been properly caulked and sealed as needed around windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers. Inspects all sheetrock for damage, and repairs and/or replaces as needed. Performs touch‑up paints for vacant and occupied units as directed by Service Supervisor or Community Manager. Assists in maintaining the grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash and debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed. Qualifications Knowledgeable and skilled in safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment Must be able to bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas. Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to twenty‑five (25) pounds independently and fifty (50) pounds with assistance. Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, sleet). Additional Responsibilities Schedules, monitors and performs work order requests from supervisor, community staff and residents as needed. Paints the interiors and exteriors of apartments in accordance with Company guidelines, addressing resident issues and repairs by responding to them promptly, efficiently and professionally. Ensures all work areas are neat, clean and orderly after painting or when work orders have otherwise been completed. Ensures maintenance supplies are in stock and, at direction from supervisor, orders supplies while staying within planned budget. Assists supervisor with scheduling and communicating with vendors and contractors and may assist in obtaining bids from outside contractors as well as oversee contractor work. Accurately prepares and submits property invoices in accordance with established guidelines. Hourly Range $24.50 – $25.25 Additional Compensation Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance. Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
