Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across all age groups - pediatric, adult, and geriatric - utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans tailored to meet both short-term and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Implement direct one-on-one speech therapy interventions emphasizing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop integrated care strategies.
• Provide educational resources for patients and their families to support therapy progress outside of the clinical setting.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless continuum of care throughout the therapy journey.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with advancements in the field through continuing education and peer exchanges.

Education

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
