Description

• Conduct evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups using both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that focus on both short-term objectives and long-term communication or swallowing needs.
• Deliver a variety of one-on-one speech therapy interventions aimed at improving communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Partner with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, as well as families, to devise comprehensive care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families to encourage progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Document findings and progress in a timely and precise manner, adhering to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in ongoing education and collaborative opportunities to stay abreast of the latest in the field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be completed within 30 days of hire.
