Description

• Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized evaluations and observational methods.
• Create customized treatment strategies tailored to individual communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Implement focused speech therapy interventions addressing speech, language, fluency, voice, and dysphagia.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to deliver integrated care plans.
• Provide educational resources for patients and their families to further enhance progress beyond the therapy sessions.
• Occasionally assist in inpatient evaluations and treatments ensuring seamless transitions in care.
• Maintain prompt and precise documentation adhering to all necessary state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and teamwork with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
