Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for diverse patient groups including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
• Craft individualized treatment plans targeting both short-term milestones and long-term objectives related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Implement personalized speech therapy interventions that focus on communication, language, fluency, vocal skills, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with an array of healthcare professionals-including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians-to create a unified care approach.
• Guide patients and their families with education to enhance progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Participate in the occasional delivery of inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care throughout the healing process.
• Maintain meticulous and prompt documentation adhering to state, federal, and organizational regulations.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
