We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Medical Director to provide clinical leadership, physician oversight, and strategic guidance across a growing behavioral health organization serving communities throughout Southern Arizona.

This role offers the unique opportunity to blend direct patient care with executive-level leadership, helping shape treatment programs, mentor providers, and drive quality outcomes for individuals experiencing psychiatric crises, serious mental illness, and substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership and oversight for psychiatric and behavioral health services

• Support quality improvement initiatives, clinical best practices, and regulatory compliance

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes

• Mentor and support psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff

• Participate in program development, strategic planning, and clinical decision-making

• Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and standards of care

• Help foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and patient-centered treatment

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

• Active Arizona medical license or ability to obtain licensure

• DEA registration or eligibility

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

• Strong commitment to behavioral health, recovery-focused care, and clinical excellence

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills

Pay Details: $235,000.00 to $400,000.00 per year
