This position is a full-time contract role that's around 3 months in length.

Summary: The Accountant in a non-profit organization is responsible for managing financial processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing accurate financial reporting to support the organization's mission.

Schedule: Hybrid Key Responsibilities -Financial Management: Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements risingsunopp.Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring expenditures against budgeted amounts, and providing variance analysis -Grant Management: Manage financial reporting for grants and ensure compliance with funder requirements.

Prepare and submit financial reports to grantors and stakeholders -Audit Preparation: Lead the annual audit process, including preparation of necessary documentation and coordination with external auditors -Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.

• Internal Controls: Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard organizational assets and ensure the integrity of financial data -Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure effective communication of financial information and support organizational goals Qualifications: -Bachelor's degree preferred -3+ years of accounting experience -Nonprofit experience required -Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel -Grant accounting experience is a strong plus Note: Qualified candidates will be contacted within 3 business days of application. xhyhwjd
