Find a fulfilling career and make a difference with UnityPoint Health.ResponsibilitiesAssist physicians during patient exams and proceduresRoom patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR)Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensureEducate patients on health, medications, and follow-up careCoordinate referrals and patient care follow-upsEnsure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environmentQualificationsValid and current licensure/certification in one of the following:Registered Nurse (RN) – Active/Unencumbered RN license in state of practice or compact license including state of practice.OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Active/Unencumbered LPN license in state of practice or compact license including state of practice.OR Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (Certificate, diploma, or Associate's Degree) required.Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following required:National Healthcare AssociationAmerican Association of Medical AssistantsNational Center for Competency TestingNational Certified Medical AssistantNational Association of Health ProfessionalsAmerican Registry of Medical AssistantsAmerican Allied HealthAmerican Medical TechnologistsPrior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferredFamiliarity with EPIC is a plus!For positions within UnityPoint Clinic, team members may be required to work at or to float to other locations to support optimized staffing
