Who We're Looking For This program is designed for two groups of people: * Skilled tradespeople seeking a career change — with hands-on experience in construction, automotive, handyman, manufacturing, or a similar field * Veterans transitioning to civilian employment — of any branch, with technical, mechanical, electrical, construction, or maintenance experience No property management experience required. If you're reliable, motivated, and ready to learn, you're who we're looking for. The Program * Free, fully virtual training — no cost to you * 6-week curriculum — complete on your own schedule while still working your current job * Guaranteed placement with a professional property management company in the Atlanta metro area upon successful program completion * Dedicated guidance — Oakmont walks with you every step of the way, from enrollment through your first day on the job and beyond Compensation & Benefits * During placement period (up to 12 weeks): $22/hour as an Oakmont employee in a temp-to-hire arrangement * Upon direct hire by the property management company: $22-$25/hour plus full benefits package * A clear advancement path — Maintenance Technician, Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor — rewards those who show up and grow What You'll Learn Our program prepares you to confidently handle the core responsibilities of a Multifamily Maintenance Technician: * Electrical fundamentals and repairs * HVAC systems and troubleshooting * Appliance installation and repair * Plumbing basics and maintenance What You Bring * Hands-on experience in a skilled trade or technical military role * Strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine desire to learn * Reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic * Desire for a stable, long-term career with room to grow * Ability to complete a 6-week virtual program independently Why Multifamily Maintenance?
