Step into a rewarding summer contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) near Prince Frederick, MD and its surrounding areas. This position is tailored for skilled professionals seeking flexible, part-time hours during the Extended School Year (ESY) program, with a schedule of 20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Your expertise will make a tangible difference for K‑12th grade students from June 29th through July 30th. Desired Qualifications Active Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) license and SLP‑CCC credential Prior experience within a school setting strongly preferred Familiarity with ESY (Extended School Year) services is an advantage Skilled in designing and implementing individualized therapy plans for diverse student populations Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families Dedication to fostering language, speech, and communication growth in school‑aged children Key Responsibilities Provide direct speech and language therapy services to K‑12 students as outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Conduct assessments, document progress, and maintain thorough records in compliance with district and state guidelines Collaborate with educators, special education staff, and families to align therapy goals with student needs Participate in team meetings regarding student progress and recommendations for continued support Adapt therapy strategies as needed for a diverse caseload and ESY‑driven schedules Enjoy a work schedule designed for summer: concentrated mornings Monday through Thursday, so your afternoons are free to enjoy.
