As a generalist, you will handle core aspects of HR including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and safety while also ensuring to maintain visibility, support leadership, and uphold a positive and cohesive workplace culture.

This role will be onsite out of our Stuart, FL location with travel to our Ft. Myers site, Georgia and other southern areas as necessary. 

Key responsibilities:

Regional Partnership: serves as the primary point of contact for employees and managers within the region and serves as the subject matter expert on how core HR processes are deployed and executed within the region.

Collaborates with the broader HR team to vocalize needs for the region and opportunities to optimize process.

Onboarding new employees: Processing new hire paperwork, reviewing/ conducting background checks, setting up employee accounts, and providing orientation information. 

Employee data management: Maintains accurate employee records including personal details, employment history, benefits information, and performance reviews within HR systems.

Benefits administration: Supports benefit enrollment, changes, and questions related to health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits. Facilitates annual open enrollment and quarterly meetings with benefit brokers/ vendors.

Leave Management partners with corporate process led to support employee leave management (i.e. FMLA, PFML, Workers Comp, Parental Leave) within the region including process execution, forms distribution, communication (employee and management team), light duty, and return to work.

Reporting:  

Ensuring OSHA reporting compliance, including maintaining injury and illness logs (OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 forms) and submitting required data annually.

Requirements:

HR Experience: at least 5-10 years of progressive HR experience working within a generalist function for an organization of at least 300 employees. Experience working within a multi-site operational environment is highly desirable.

Strong organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain accurate records. 

Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in data entry and processing sensitive employee information. 

Excellent communication skills: Effectively interacting with employees at all levels, providing clear information and addressing concerns. 

Proficiency in HR software: Familiarity with HR management systems (HRIS) for data entry, reporting, and recordkeeping. 

Knowledge of employment laws: Understanding of federal and state labor laws related to hiring, termination, and employee rights. 

Confidentiality: Maintaining the privacy of employee information. 

Travel: Must be able travel regionally 50% or as otherwise operationally required; regularly visiting assigned locations travel between Additional travel may be required periodically (<5%) for companywide events.
