Financial Reporting Sr AccountantJob#: 3055450Job Description:Financial Reporting Sr AccountantLocation: Tampa, Florida (Hybrid)Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Senior Accountant to provide financial reporting, technical accounting, regulatory reporting, and project support. This role is part of a team responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial information, including financial statements and regulatory filings. The position involves working closely with team members to support financial reporting processes, technical accounting analyses, and regulatory compliance initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the preparation and filing of the company’s consolidated and/or stand-alone financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.Assist in the preparation and maintenance of technical accounting memoranda, accounting policies, and reporting documentation.Research and document accounting conclusions related to new transactions, accounting pronouncements, and reporting matters under U.S. GAAP and IFRS.Perform peer and competitor disclosure benchmarking analysis to support financial reporting and disclosure enhancements.Compile presentations and reports for senior management, committees, and the Board.Ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness and accuracy by performing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes.Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements and company policies.Participate in overseeing and maintaining the general ledger, ensuring accuracy of financial data.Engage in ad hoc projects such as system upgrades, process improvements, and documentation updates.Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in accounting.Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a financial reporting, accounting, or auditing role.Technical Skills: Applied knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Oracle, FCCS) and/or financial reporting software (e.g., Workiva, Blackline). Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Power BI, is required. Working or applied knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with IFRS, with the ability to independently research and apply accounting guidance.Preferred QualificationsCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or on a path to obtain CPA certification.General understanding of regulatory financial reporting requirements.Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
