Sr. Cost Accountant

Job Title : Senior Accountant Job ID : 88953 Location : Valencia, California Overview Our client is a small but growing technology manufacturer seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join their team onsite in Valencia. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and wants to make a direct impact in a growing organization. As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the general ledger, managing month-end close, preparing reconciliations and journal entries, supporting audits, and assisting with reporting and compliance. Responsibilities Lead the month-end close process: prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analyses Manage daily cash applications, deposits, and monthly reconciliations Record payroll entries and benefit-related accruals (401K, FSA, workers’ comp, etc.) Handle general ledger accruals (prepaids, professional fees, consulting, etc.) Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis and partner with department heads to resolve discrepancies Support audits and tax compliance by preparing reports and documentation Troubleshoot accounting issues related to billing, cash, A/R, A/P, and payroll Maintain accounting documentation and desk procedures within FloQast Participate in ad hoc projects to support accounting, reporting, and finance operations Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business 5+ years of accounting experience Solid understanding of US GAAP ERP experience (JD Edwards, D365, or similar) High proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, financial analysis) Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing company Salary Salary/Rate Range: $80,000-100,000 + Bonus and Benefits #J-18808-Ljbffr TEEMA
