Step into a vital position supporting student health and wellness as a Certified School Nurse in a dynamic middle and elementary school environment. Located near Arlington Heights, IL, this full-time contract role offers the opportunity to collaborate with dedicated onsite RNs and provide critical expertise across four schools. You’ll ensure that learners’ healthcare needs are met while playing a key part in multidisciplinary teams that develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and medical emergency plans.

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Certified School Nurse (CSN) license required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) credentials with demonstrated school-based experience strongly preferred.
• Prior experience participating in IEP meetings or developing student medical plans highly valued.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills for flexing across multiple sites.

In this role, you will:

• Travel among one middle school and three elementary schools, providing skilled nursing support where most needed.
• Partner closely with existing full-time RNs to assess, plan, deliver, and document student care.
• Take part in IEP meetings, helping to draft, review, and implement medical emergency plans for students with complex needs.
• Offer expert guidance and advocacy to students, families, and educational staff related to healthcare requirements and school protocols.
• Flexibly respond to the shifting needs of each campus, becoming a trusted resource and leader within the school health team.
