• Production Manager – Job Summary

  We are seeking a Production Manager who is passionate about leading people, building strong teams, and creating an environment where employees can do their best work. This role is responsible for leading day-to-day production operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, customer service, operational performance, and team development.

  The Production Manager will build strong relationships across the operation, communicate expectations clearly, and develop employees through coaching, training, accountability, and recognition. This leader will work closely with team members and other departments to identify opportunities, solve problems, improve processes, and ensure production goals are achieved safely and efficiently.

  Key areas of responsibility include:

  • People Leadership & Team Development: Lead, coach, and develop production employees and supervisors; establish clear expectations, provide ongoing feedback, recognize strong performance, and create opportunities for employees to grow.
  • Relationships & Communication: Build trusted relationships with employees and cross-functional partners while promoting open communication, teamwork, collaboration, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Safety & Compliance: Champion a safety-first culture by ensuring employees are properly trained, identifying and addressing potential hazards, reinforcing safe work practices, and maintaining compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality & Customer Focus: Maintain high standards for product quality and service, proactively address quality concerns, and ensure the team understands how its work impacts the customer.
  • Operational Results: Lead daily production activities to meet safety, service, productivity, cost, and quality goals. Monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions that improve efficiency and overall results.
  • Inventory & Material Control: Partner with the appropriate teams to maintain accurate inventory and material flow, ensure materials are available to support production, minimize waste, and address inventory or material issues that could impact operations.

  The ideal candidate is a hands-on, people-focused leader who can balance the needs of employees, customers, and the business. They are comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, making decisions, solving problems, holding themselves and others accountable, and continuously looking for ways to make the operation and the employee experience better.

Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university) preferred

Experience:

• Eight or more years' experience in a manufacturing environment plus 2 years in a leadership role
• Five plus years in management/supervisory position plus 2 years in a manufacturing facility

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Computer Skills

MS Office, WMS and ordering system

Other requirements: Valid driver’s license required. Safe driver history/record required for insurance and liability reason.
