Respiratory Therapist, Inpatient Hospitals, Part-time Days

Responsible for direct patient care within the inpatient hospitals. Patients served include adults with Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord, Stroke, Medically Complex, Orthopedic injuries, and Respiratory conditions requiring mechanical ventilation.Responsibilities:Performs direct patient care to patients in all aspects of respiratory care according to the physicians orders/approved protocolsSetting up and managing mechanical ventilationMonitoring physiological responses to therapy.Educating patients and their families about their conditionsTeaching appropriate disease management techniques.Follow appropriate universal precautions during the delivery of care.Uses proper lifting and body mechanics during delivery of care.Successfully completes all assigned training and annual skills competency as determined by the hospital based on responsibilities, specialized equipment, high risk/problem /or low volume procedures including but not limited to emergency response techniques.Consider patient/customer comfort and need to control when planning and delivering patient care.Demonstrate commitment to superior customer experiences with a service-oriented attitude.Qualifications:Respiratory Therapist, Registered Respiratory Therapist required.Associates Degree required.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Hours: Part-time DaysLocation: Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital at 3599 University Blvd South, Jacksonville, FL 32216Compensation: Experience, education and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.Thriving in a culture that you can be proud of, you will also receive many employee benefits such as the following:Competitive PayComprehensive Benefits packageVacation/Paid Time OffRetirement PlanEmployee DiscountsClinical Education and Professional Development Programs #J-18808-Ljbffr
