Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care for mothers and newborns on a Mother Baby unit.
- Monitor maternal and neonatal conditions, administer medications as ordered, and perform routine assessments.
- Support breastfeeding and lactation education; assist with newborn care, feeding, and routine newborn screenings.
- Collaborate with obstetric, pediatrics, and ancillary teams to coordinate care and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record and ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy.
- Respond to clinical changes, participate in rounds, and promote family-centered care during postpartum and newborn stays.

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the Mother Baby specialty or a closely related unit
- AHA BLS and NRP certifications required
- Experience on a 40-bed mother-baby unit with a high delivery volume (approximately 4,000 deliveries per year) preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts; schedule may vary between 7a and 7p
- Willingness to meet holiday coverage expectations: must work two major holidays and one minor holiday per rotation
