This role blends hands‑on technical expertise with team leadership to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership: Oversee daily jobsite operations, ensuring alignment with plans, blueprints, and project specifications. Lead the team from the front, providing hands‑on mentorship and guidance. Manage multiple jobs at different phases, balancing priorities effectively. Construction Expertise: Perform hands‑on tasks, including framing, building, laying out rafters, stairs, decks, and roof pitch. Work directly from blueprints, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Build scaffolding, work at heights, and ensure all team members follow strict safety protocols. Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings while maintaining detailed logs. Client and Team Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, subcontractors, and the management team. Be client‑facing and articulate, capable of discussing project progress and addressing concerns professionally. Resource and Equipment Management: Coordinate materials, labor, and schedules to maintain project efficiency. Ensure all tools, materials, and safety equipment are used correctly and available as needed. Own a truck to start, with the potential for a company vehicle (ability to pull a trailer is a plus). Qualifications Experience and Skills: Proven experience in reconstruction and remodeling, with expertise in building, framing, and finishing carpentry. Knowledge of plans, blueprints, and construction techniques, with the ability to work directly from drawings. Experience in finish and cabinet work is a plus. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high‑quality results. Leadership Abilities: Exceptional team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor. Comfortable conducting safety meetings and ensuring adherence to OSHA standards. Communication and Professionalism: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with clients and stakeholders. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Tools and Equipment: Possess personal carpentry and building tools. Comfortable working at heights and with scaffolding and ladders.
