Permanent Production Labourer Are you looking for a Permanent Production Labourer opportunity? Are you experienced working with steel or heavy materials? Do you enjoy a physical position with the ability to use hand and power tools for your role? If you answered yes, then we have the position for you. Shift work: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm 10:00 pm – 6:00 am Pay rate: $25.50/hr + shift premiums. Responsibilities Operate machinery, equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner. Identify and retrieve structural steel/rebar from warehouse racks to fill orders. Feed and unload processing machines. Ensure machine guards are in place and material is handled in a safe manner. Wear appropriate safety equipment as specified. Operate overhead cranes (training certification required prior to operating). Operate cutting saws, rebar benders and shears (training provided). Use a measuring tape to check material lengths and bends in rebar steel. Follow work instructions, procedures and adhere to company policies and rules. Report any unsafe acts or conditions of which you are aware. Maintain regular attendance, arrive for scheduled shift on time. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Adhere to the requirements of section 28 of the Occupational Health & Safety Act. Benefits Permanent full‑time from day 1. Lots of learning opportunity. Competitive benefits package. Qualifications Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment (2–3 years). High school diploma / GED equivalent. Approved safety footwear is required. Previous overhead crane or fork truck operating experience is an asset. Experience with sheet metal is an asset. Experience with CNC machines & programming considered an asset. Work performed in a non‑climate‑controlled environment; temperature fluctuations will occur. Continuous walking, standing. Occasional heavy lifting (use two‑man lift techniques or lifting devices for loads exceeding safe lifting capacity). Work in the yards and shops with steel is dirty; wear suitable clothing. Physical Requirements Able to work on your feet – repetitive standing / walking. Lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg). Must wear hard hat, safety glasses, earplugs, gloves, safety boots. Work independently and in a team environment. Hand‑eye coordination. Attention to detail. Accountability and dependability.
