Assistant District Attorney – District 7 (Hancock & Washington Counties) Opening Date: June 8, 2026. Closing Date: Until Filled. Class Code: 0206. Position Number: 006100386. Grade: 1. Salary: $71,843.20 - $139,110.40 per year. Position Overview The District Attorney’s Office for District 7 seeks a full‑time Assistant District Attorney. The assistant will primarily handle criminal prosecutions in the Unified Criminal Court in Washington County and appellate cases before the Maine Law Court. Qualifications Strong desire for a career in litigation. Trial experience and developed trial skills are an asset. High ethical standards, sound judgment, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and good organizational/time‑management skills. Must be a member of the Maine Bar, in good standing, and reside in Hancock or Washington Counties.
