Bilingual Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bilingual Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Spanish and has experience working in a warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics environment. This position is responsible for receiving incoming shipments, preparing outgoing orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare, pack, label, and process outgoing shipments.
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Verify quantities, product numbers, and shipping information for accuracy.
- Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
- Enter shipment and inventory information into computer systems.
- Coordinate with drivers, vendors, customers, and internal departments.
- Assist with inventory counts and identify discrepancies.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any issues to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse/work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with English- and Spanish-speaking employees, drivers, and vendors.
- Perform other warehouse and shipping/receiving duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory/shipping systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents and instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Forklift experience/certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and move materials throughout the shift.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment as required.
