Job Description

Step into a vital, impactful role as a school-based psychologist supporting high school students in a dynamic academic environment near Newark, DE. This contract opportunity begins August 24, 2026, and extends through June 16, 2027, offering full-time, onsite engagement. As a member of the high school team, you’ll build connections, support academic success, and help shape positive outcomes for students by delivering essential psychological services.

Your core responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, crafting insightful written reports, and collaborating with teachers, administrators, and IEP teams to promote student well-being. This position calls for someone comfortable working independently in a bustling high school setting, eager to champion student needs, and committed to working in person, five days a week.

Key skills and qualifications:

Active Delaware School Psychologist license (required; please provide proof with application)
Previous experience working as a school psychologist, ideally in high school settings
Solid background in psychoeducational assessment and report writing
Demonstrated involvement in IEP processes and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Reliable transportation to maintain consistent, onsite presence
Willingness to work full-time hours (37.5/week), strictly onsite, with no option for remote or hybrid work
Ability to complete required background checks and fingerprinting promptly
