Grants Manager

Job Description The Grants Manager will be an active member of the Alphapointe Foundation and assist in expanding and diversifying the donation pipeline. They will secure grants and new revenue streams, communicate with donors and foundations, manage grant proposals, database, and build community investment and awareness. Reporting The Grants Manager reports to the Chief Development Officer of Alphapointe. Essential Functions Grants and Donor Development Management Manage grant writing and reporting requirements and ensure materials are prepared, reviewed, and submitted on schedule. Prepare introductions, letters of intent, grant requests/proposals, grant reports, individual donor appeals, and similar fundraising materials to increase current support and generate new revenue streams. Understand and effectively communicate the goals, mission and vision of Alphapointe to current and prospective donors. Handle special projects and individual donors as assigned. Prospect Research & Database Management Identify applicable funding opportunities (foundation, corporation and individual donors) and maintain a process of development, usage, and application. Demonstrate proven ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse funding base and employee base. Manage data integrations and ensure data integrity in Little Green Light and other relationship databases and systems as applicable. Manage data entry and management of fundraising pipelines and revenue tracking. Manage execution of all administrative donation processes. Other Duties Be an active and engaged member of the team by offering inputs and ideas, participating in discussions on Development strategy and management, and helping peers succeed in their roles. Assist with fundraising and donor development events and activities as needed. Working Conditions Some local travel to area funding meetings. Some participation with events and activities related to the fundraising department. Salary Range $55,000 to $65,000 per year. Minimum Education Required Bachelor's degree. Additional Qualifications & Responsibilities Knowledge and Skills Bachelor’s degree preferred in English, Journalism, Non-Profit Management, Public Relations or a program requiring strong writing ability. 2-3 years of professional experience in roles directly applicable to grant writing, donor database management, and successful non-profit fundraising and grants management. Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong preference for experience in a fundraising CRM. Superior organizational skills and attention to detail; proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to engage a broad range of individuals. Adaptable, curious, and articulate. Maintain an optimistic and positive working attitude.
