About the Role
The Company is seeking a Strategic Policy Specialist to join the Office of the Executive Director. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing strategic, substantive, and coordination support across the organization's priorities. This includes supporting and providing strategic coordination for senior-level engagements and collaborations with various partners, analyzing policies, and monitoring actions that require follow-up. The role demands a high level of proficiency in anticipating and forecasting tasks, contributing to the preparation of high-level meetings, and building awareness and collaboration both within and outside the office. The Specialist will also be responsible for developing and maintaining effective partnerships, as well as supporting the Chief of Staff in high-level policy discussions. Applicants for this position should have an advanced degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 7 years' of experience, with at least 5 years' at the international level. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic coordination, partnership, advocacy, and communication. They must be comfortable working in ambiguous situations, possess excellent organizational and analytical skills, and demonstrate the ability to work with a high degree of independence. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of a second UN language is highly desirable. The role also requires a commitment to the values of the organization, including integrity, cultural diversity, and a proactive approach to change.
