About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Environmental Monitoring (EM) Technician II to support cleanroom operations in a fast‐paced GMP manufacturing environment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands‐on work, precise documentation, and contributing to the production of biologic drug substances and sterile drug products. You’ll perform routine environmental monitoring, support aseptic operations, and partner closely with Manufacturing, QA, and QC Microbiology to maintain a safe, compliant, and high‐quality cleanroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine Environmental Monitoring in Grades A–D cleanrooms (viable surfaces, viable air, non‐viable particulates)
• Support Environmental Monitoring Performance Qualifications (EMPQ)
• Conduct EM sample enumerations and assist with microbiology workflows
• Document sampling activities accurately following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Support gowning qualifications and aseptic process simulations (media fills)
• Report deviations, alert/action limit excursions, and assist with preliminary investigations
• Prepare and transport samples to the microbiology lab for incubation and analysis
• Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to ensure GMP compliance
• Assist with trending data and routine EM reporting
• Follow all safety, gowning, and cleanroom protocols
• Support unique production campaigns, including occasional off‐hours or weekend work
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements

• High school diploma required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in microbiology, Biology, or related field preferred
• 1–2 years of experience in environmental monitoring or cleanroom operations (biotech, pharma, or cell/gene therapy strongly preferred)
• Understanding of basic scientific and regulatory principles
• Ability to follow SOPs and document activities accurately and promptly
• Comfortable working in a highly controlled cleanroom environment for extended periods
• Availability for occasional weekend or holiday support
