The Director will partner with the Chief Financial Officer, executive leadership, facility management, regional leadership, and other operational leaders to translate financial and operational information into forward-looking insights and actionable recommendations. This position requires exceptional analytical ability, advanced financial modeling skills, strong business judgment, high standards for accuracy and quality, effective executive communication, and the ability to independently analyze complex issues. The Director is responsible for ensuring that budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses incorporate current operating conditions, management expectations, and relevant business drivers rather than relying primarily on historical performance.BenefitsPaid time offExtended sick leaveHealth, dental, life, and optional vision insurance starting the 1st of the month after hirePaid holidays, including a floating Personal Observance Day401(k)Continuing education assistanceDaily pay is available - access your earning immediately after you complete your shift!ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning, Forecasting and Reporting, Oversees and leads financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for the Company. • Leads development of annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and current operating expectations. • Develops driver-based forecasts incorporating management input, operating metrics, volume, staffing, revenue, reimbursement, expenses, capital requirements, and other relevant business assumptions. • Evaluates changes in business conditions and ensures forecasts are updated appropriately rather than relying primarily upon historical trends. • Prepares monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reporting packages, including variance analysis, forecasts, KPIs, dashboards, risks, opportunities, and management recommendations. • Supports the CFO and executive leadership in understanding current performance and anticipated future results.Financial Analysis and Modeling • Provides in-depth financial analysis of operational performance across all facilities, including revenue trends, volume, labor, cost management, profitability, and other financial and operational drivers. Develops and maintains financial models and decision-support tools used to evaluate investments, expansions, new programs, staffing changes, capital projects, acquisitions, and operational improvements. • Performs scenario and sensitivity analysis to evaluate alternative assumptions and potential financial outcomes. • Identifies significant performance trends, risks, and opportunities and develops actionable recommendations for management. • Evaluates actual performance against prior forecasts and continually improves forecasting methodologies.Operational Business Partnership • Partners with facility managers, regional directors, and other leaders to understand the operational factors driving financial performance. • Solicits and evaluates current business information from management and incorporates appropriate assumptions into forecasts and financial models. • Acts as a bridge between Finance and Operations, helping leadership understand the financial consequences of operating decisions. • Challenges assumptions constructively when appropriate and provides independent financial insight and recommendations.Strategic Finance and Special Projects • Assists in M&A activities, including financial modeling, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration. • Supports the CFO with Board presentations, capital planning, strategic planning, and other significant projects. • Provides financial analysis related to potential investments, expansions, partnerships, new services, and other strategic initiatives. • Ensures compliance with applicable financial reporting and operational requirements.FP&A Leadership, Quality and Process Improvement • Responsible for overseeing the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager and Financial Analyst(s), including supervision, professional development, and performance management. • Establishes appropriate standards for analytical quality, financial model integrity, accuracy, documentation, and communication. • Maintains quality-control procedures over significant FP&A models, schedules, reports, and analyses, including appropriate reconciliations, model checks, assumption validation, and reasonableness reviews. • Ensures work products presented to senior management have been appropriately reviewed for completeness and accuracy. • Evaluates current FP&A processes and systems and identifies opportunities to improve automation, efficiency, scalability, reporting capability, and data reliability. • Mentors and develops FP&A team members, fosters a collaborative and growth-oriented environment, and ensures the team develops the necessary analytical, modeling, business-partnership, and communication capabilities.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field required. MBA, CPA, CFA, or comparable advanced credential preferred.Eight to twelve or more years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, or similar roles.Demonstrated experience owning annual budgets, recurring forecasts, financial modeling, and executive financial decision support.Three to five or more years of leadership experience preferred.Prior experience within healthcare, rehabilitation, multi-site operations, or another complex operating environment preferred.Advanced Excel proficiency required.Experience with ERP, financial planning, business intelligence, and/or data visualization systems strongly preferred.The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including skill sets, experience, education and training, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It's not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are arrived at each unique case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary is $183,000 - $238,000 per year.
