Step onto our night shift and shape precision metal parts

On Sunday night at 11:00 pm, you clock in, greet your team, review the job plan, and bring a coil-fed stamping line to life. By 7:30 am, you've turned steel into flawless automotive components—safely, efficiently, and to exact customer specs. That's a typical night on our Sunday–Thursday schedule (11:00 pm–7:30 am).

You will set up and operate transfer and progressive presses to meet customer requirements, monitoring quality continuously and organizing each run for maximum uptime. You'll:

• Run both progressive and transfer dies and verify output using gauges, calipers, and operator inspection sheets aligned to quality plans and customer notes.
• Load, thread, and adjust coil; set feeder heights, air pressure, and line controls to hit specification.
• Operate an overhead crane; park and unpark transfer bars; manually fine-tune transfer finger settings.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues quickly to maintain production and quality.
• Keep the press and surrounding area clean, orderly, and compliant with corporate and plant safety standards.
• Use basic computer functions related to the job; record production and quality data.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Apply detail orientation and multitasking skills; measure dimensions and use precision tools confidently.
• Adapt to change and model safe work as a condition of employment.
• Leverage knowledge of the GMS system to support production and quality.

• Tonnage monitors: proper use, setup, and evaluation.
• P.L.C.'s: operation and interaction with press controls.
• Die protection: correct adjustment and verification of protection devices.
• Limit switches and sensors: function, placement, and diagnostics.

• The press, slide, clutch, and counterbalances.
• The feeder system: strengtheners, pilot pin, grippers, and air valves.
• The coil box: pinch rollers, chain drive, and control box.
• Conveyor system setup and adjustment.

• Establish proper start-up procedures for each job.
• Use setup stop blocks to set shut heights accurately.
• Set tooling heights and clearances for quality and tool life.
• Dial in progression, feeder height, air pressure, and all job-specific controls.
• Apply Poka Yoke to prevent errors.

• Show reliable attendance and work the hours needed to perform the role.
• Keep your personal work area efficient and organized.
• Share accurate, timely information with teammates and leaders.
• Communicate clearly to strengthen teamwork and initiative.
• Follow company policies and procedures, including ISO14001, IATF16949, and all safety regulations.
• Receive direction positively and treat colleagues with dignity and respect.

Expect proximity to loud, moving mechanical equipment and vibration exposure typical of a stamping facility. Ear protection is required due to a heavy noise level with high traffic.

• High School Diploma or GED (required)

• 2+ years operating presses in a related manufacturing environment.
• Background in welding, laser cutting, plasma cutting, and/or water jet cutting is a plus.

• Basic computer literacy and the ability to perform job-related computer tasks.
• Clear verbal communication with teammates.
• Ability to read and apply safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Comfort interpreting written, oral, diagram, and schedule-based instructions.
• Applied math: fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
