Laundry Aide

Works under the direction of the Supervisor Support Services, but with minimal direct supervision, to perform clean linen distribution, linen stocking maintenance and soiled linen pick up in a safe and effective manner. This position also provides backup for the Courier position as needed. Responsibilities Delivers clean linen to customers. Picks up soiled linen from customers. Records quantities of clean linen delivered and/soiled linen pick up amounts as needed. Transports linen between the Laundry and the hospital buildings. Drives the organization’s vehicles in a safe and lawful manner. Organizes and labels linen carts and stocking locations as needed. Communicates effectively to assure daily deliveries are complete and customer needs are met. Responds effectively to beeper calls as needed. Qualifications Required Must have a valid State of Michigan Chauffeur's License and be insurable with the organization’s provider. Preferred Previous Laundry / Linen delivery experience preferred but not necessary.
