Job Title: Tool Crib Attendant | 1st Shift | Long-Term Contract

PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION:

The Manufacturing Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for managing and maintaining production tooling,

shop supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE), and consumable inventory to support manufacturing

operations. This position ensures that employees have timely access to the tools, equipment, and supplies

needed to maintain productivity, while maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting cost control

initiatives, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Tool Crib & Inventory Management
• Manage inventory levels of production consumables and shop supplies.
• Issue and receive tools, equipment, and supplies to shop personnel.
• Track tool usage, returns, and shortages using logs or inventory systems.
• Inspect tools for wear or damage and remove defective tools from service.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and report missing or damaged items.
• Reorder tools, consumables, and supplies as needed.

Tool Maintenance & Organization

• Clean, label, and organize tools and equipment.
• Perform basic tool maintenance (lubrication, calibration coordination, minor repairs)
• Coordinate sharpening, repair, or replacement of tools as required.
• Ensure proper storage and security of tools and equipment.

Support Duties

• Assist production staff as needed.
• Deliver tools, materials, and parts to workstations.
• Help with basic shop tasks such as cleaning, material handling, and setup.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tool crib and surrounding areas.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure tools and equipment meet safety standards.
• Promote proper tool usage and handling.
• Report on safety concerns, hazards, or equipment issues to supervision
