Intake Assessment Technician (PRN)

Job Details Title: Intake Assessment Technician (PRN) Location: Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital – New Lenox, IL 60451 Education Level: 4 Year Degree Salary Range: $23.00 per hour Responsibilities Receive referral calls, obtain minimal demographic information, and refer the call to an appropriate source or schedule an assessment. Process all requests for information and external referrals. Complete pre-certifications as needed. Arrange admission of patients, including alerting the business office staff to begin verification of benefits, initiating calls to physicians and other related tasks as directed by the Case Manager. Determine required releases of information, process them per policy. Obtain needed records and information. Maintain statistics, support the Outcome Study, and other data as assigned. Communicate with Utilization Review, Business Office, and other staff as indicated. Maintain a log of received calls and disposition of the calls, and other informational tools as assigned. Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, practicing good customer service. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred; valid driver’s license in the applicable state. One year of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness preferred. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours. Compensation This is a PRN role with an expected compensation of $23.00 per hour. Compensation may vary based on experience and skill level.
