Labor and Delivery Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods within a hospital setting. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and support through evidence-based practices and team collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Assess maternal and fetal health statuses to develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, epidurals, and assist with procedures such as C-sections and cerclages.
• Monitor labor progress, document patient data accurately in CPN and Meditach systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate shared decision-making and positive patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on labor processes, postpartum care, and neonatal procedures.
• Respond swiftly to labor complications and assist in emergency interventions.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
• Hold active licenses as a Registered Nurse.
• Maintain certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM.
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for laboring patients, newborns, and postpartum recovery.
• Show ability to perform procedures including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, epidural anesthesia, and D&C.
• Ability to float and adapt to unit-specific policies and schedules.
