Details Level I Trauma Center PACU at Parkview Tower 1:2 patient ratios Night shift, 3x12 hours, rotating between 1900-0730 and 1700-0530 with rotating start times Night shift nurses may pre-op first-case patients from 0530-0730 when no PACU patients are assigned No weekend requirement On-call required, 24 hours per 6-week schedule period as needed Floating required within service line Surgical population includes GU, GYN, colorectal, minimally invasive, bariatric, and some ENT procedures Separate IR pre/post area also covered Manages complex postoperative patients including multiple drains, vasoactive drips, and mechanical ventilation Epic EMR used Requirements Active MO or compact RN license required BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 1 year of critical care/ICU or Level I Trauma Center PACU experience required Level I Trauma Center experience required; Level II Trauma experience preferred Proficiency in respiratory care, ventilator management, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia recognition/management required Experience with IV vasopressors, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs required Pre/post-op assessment, education, and medication administration skills required Epic charting experience required Must pass Relias EKG exam covering interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Pending license accepted for consideration Additional Information Recover patients from general anesthesia, managing multiple complex postoperative cases Facility is a Level I Trauma, short-term acute care teaching hospital with 1,266 staffed beds Navy scrub color required First-time travelers are welcome to apply No local candidates accepted within 75 miles of the facility Must reside outside a 75-mile radius to qualify for travel assignment RTO limited to no more than 7 days per contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment Returning permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any facility within the health system as a traveler Standard travelers may stay up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break in service Facial hair must allow for proper respirator fit testing or must be shaved American Traveler Job ID P-750103.
