Regional Sales Manager – Outside Sales

Industry: Health Supplements / Health & Wellness

Territory: NY Metro – New York, New Jersey & Connecticut

Compensation: $100,000–$115,000 Base + Quarterly Commission

Position Overview

A well-established  health supplements company is seeking an experienced  Regional Sales Manager to lead and develop its NY Metro sales region. This is a highly visible,  field-focused leadership role combining team management, sales coaching, new business development, and direct territory responsibility.

The Regional Sales Manager will oversee approximately 8 Territory Sales Representatives while also managing and growing an individual book of business. The ideal candidate will be based in  Long Island, New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut and have a proven track record leading outside sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, motivate, and develop a team of Territory Sales Representatives
• Conduct regular  ride-alongs and hands-on field coaching
• Drive regional revenue growth and new business development
• Manage and grow an individual sales territory
• Prospect, develop, and close new retail accounts
• Build relationships with  independent retailers, vitamin and wellness stores, specialty retailers, and key accounts
• Expand sales and product penetration within existing accounts
• Identify new markets, customers, and growth opportunities
• Monitor territory performance and provide strategic direction to the sales team
• Participate in sales meetings, trade shows, and industry events

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of sales management experience
• Proven success managing and developing an  outside sales team
• Strong experience with  field coaching and sales ride-alongs
• Demonstrated success in outside sales, prospecting, and business development
• Experience selling directly to  independent business owners and key decision-makers
• Strong negotiation, presentation, relationship-building, and closing skills
• Results-driven leadership style with the ability to motivate and hold a team accountable
• Stable employment history with demonstrated career progression
• Ability to travel approximately 60%–65%

Experience within  health supplements, health & wellness, medical devices, consumer products, copier/equipment sales, or outdoor equipment is highly preferred.

Travel & Schedule

This is a true field leadership position. The Regional Sales Manager should expect to spend approximately 3 days per week in the field , including overnight travel and ride-alongs with sales representatives.

The position also requires approximately  one visit per month to the Long Island office , along with additional travel as business needs require.

Compensation

• Base Salary: $100,000–$115,000
• Quarterly performance-based commission
• Regional team commission override
• New-account incentives
• Reimbursement for approved business travel expenses
