Job Title: Schedule Specialist
Department: Schedule Management / Operations
Reports To: Director of Schedule Management Position Summary The Schedule Specialist supports the development, maintenance, status updates, and reporting of project schedules for high-value construction projects, currently defined as projects exceeding $50,000,000 in value. This role partners with Project Managers, field teams, external project partners, and Scheduling Leadership to ensure accurate schedule updates, milestone tracking, schedule integration, and timely communication of schedule performance. The Schedule Specialist plays a key role in maintaining schedule integrity, identifying risks, supporting execution strategies, and helping align Concrete Strategies' internal schedules with owner, General Contractor, and Joint Venture scheduling requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the development, maintenance, updating, status reporting, and analysis of project schedules for assigned high-value projects exceeding $50,000,000 in value
• Build and maintain internal project schedules using Microsoft Project
• Review, interpret, and coordinate external project schedules developed in Primavera P6 by General Contractors, Joint Venture partners, or other external project stakeholders
• Merge, compare, and align Concrete Strategies' Microsoft Project schedules with Primavera P6 schedules from external parties
• Update schedules regularly based on field progress, production tracking, installed quantities, and input from project teams
• Ensure schedule logic, sequencing, constraints, and durations accurately reflect field execution plans and project delivery requirements
• Support milestone tracking and ensure alignment with contractual commitments, owner requirements, GC/JV schedules, and internal targets
• Communicate schedule updates, changes, variances, and potential impacts to project teams and Scheduling Leadership
• Participate in schedule review meetings and coordination discussions with Project Managers, field teams, GCs, JVs, and other project stakeholders
• Identify potential schedule risks and assist in developing mitigation, acceleration, or recovery plans
• Maintain accurate progress updates, including percent complete, installed quantities, productivity trends, and schedule performance data
• Assist with preparation of schedule reports, dashboards, look-ahead plans, and executive-level schedule updates
• Support time impact analysis, delay analysis, and change management processes as directed
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability in scheduling data across assigned projects
• Utilize company-standard scheduling tools and software to track, analyze, and report project performance Required Qualifications
• 2-5 years of experience in construction, project controls, or scheduling-related roles
• Experience scheduling concrete construction projects
• Experience working with both Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
• Ability to review, coordinate, and integrate schedules developed by external project partners, including General Contractors and Joint Venture teams
• Basic understanding of construction sequencing, project lifecycle, field operations, and schedule logic
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with project teams, internal stakeholders, and external project partners
• Ability to manage schedule updates, reporting deadlines, and competing project priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting self-perform construction operations
• Exposure to CPM Critical Path Method scheduling concepts
• Familiarity with production tracking and progress measurement techniques
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience supporting large-scale commercial, industrial, mission critical, or complex concrete construction projects Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, schedules, specifications, and project plans
• Strong understanding of schedule sequencing, milestone tracking, and schedule reporting
• Ability to compare and reconcile internal schedules with owner, GC, or JV schedules
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Willingness to continue developing advanced scheduling, project controls, and schedule analysis skills Location / Candidate Market Preference This role is preferably based in the St. Louis area. Candidates located in or near St. Louis will be prioritized. If a qualified local candidate is not identified, consideration may expand to candidates located on the East Coast or in markets that align with current and upcoming project needs, particularly projects located in Texas or east of Texas. Physical Requirements / Work Environment
• Primarily office-based with periodic visits to active construction jobsites
• Ability to walk jobsites, climb stairs, and navigate uneven terrain when required
• May require extended periods of sitting and computer use
