Job Overview National Interstate seeks a Marketing Trainee to join the team in a hybrid schedule at the Richfield office. Responsibilities Conduct market research and networking to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Create and execute marketing campaigns across digital, print, and social media channels. Engage with existing and prospective customers to build relationships and achieve division profit goals. Create compelling marketing content such as blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, and promotional materials. Monitor and analyze performance of marketing activities and campaigns, tracking statistics on prospect lists, hit ratios, business retention and new business production. Assist with underwriting in data gathering, underwriting, and pricing of renewals and support preparation of reports to analyze business profile and new business. Promote additional coverage/programs to existing accounts and support premium development and retention goals. Assist in coordinating and transferring books of business and ongoing contract management as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience. Participate in a formal training program for 6–12 months; work under close supervision and technical direction. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in marketing software and tools, including CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and social media management tools. Foundational analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to travel 10–20% day and overnight to visit agents, brokers, or clients. Capable of prospecting new agents or clients, with limited underwriting authority. Capable of building excellent customer relationships and providing opportunities for marketing products and services. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
