Returns Supervisor

Job Title: Returns & Mini-Mod Supervisor Location: Mooresville, Indiana Role Supervises and coordinates the activities and associates of the Returns Department. Responsible for the accuracy and punctuality of all returns, including crediting customer accounts for product returns, evaluating merchandise for defects, reconciling invoices and credits for the credit department and customer service, and handling refusals and its process. Supervises associates for maximum safety and productivity without sacrificing quality. Reports to and supports the Operations Manager with returns record‑keeping, staffing, overtime, and staff reduction. Assists the Operations Manager by identifying work procedures, preparing schedules, training and developing associates, and expediting workflow. Impact You will provide leadership support to the returns department and support operations as needed, delivering high efficiencies in the assigned KPIs to meet internal and external customers. Oversee and support the returns department and delegate job responsibilities to associates, including timekeeping and scheduling of breaks and lunches to maintain workflow. Identify associates that perform below set goals and retrain if necessary; train team members on proper procedures and verify all processes are accurate and complete. Ensure associates have the equipment and tools needed; perform regular safety walkthroughs and follow safety protocols and policies. Communicate with leadership and management, report shift headcounts, and provide regular updates on department changes. Credit customer accounts for returns, evaluate returned merchandise for defects and overstock, and support the creation of SOPs. Monitor effectiveness and productivity to meet goals; research old invoices and credits for the Credit Department and Customer Service; handle refusals and its process; run labels when needed and scan all cartons for put‑away or back‑to‑stock merchandise.
