Employee Relations Specialist

Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Supervisor II of the Personnel Office in the Human Resources Branch (Branch) of the Administration Division (Division) within the Department of Cannabis Control (Department), the Analyst III in the Employee Relations Unit (Unit) will provide complex analytical consultation, guidance, and expertise to Department management and supervisors in areas including employee performance, labor relations, and administration of the Department’s disciplinary process. The incumbent analyzes and evaluates sensitive and complex employee relations matters, develops recommendations, and provides consultative services to management to support consistent and effective application of applicable laws, rules, bargaining unit agreements, and Department policies.

Working Conditions

Special Requirements

Conflict of Interest (COI) - This position is subject to COI Regulations. The incumbent is required to submit a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700) within 30 days of assuming office, annually by April 1st, and within 30 days of leaving office.
