MRI Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7 AM - 8:30 PM, with 1-2 days on call each month. Weekend shifts are required, working every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to join our imaging department. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently while providing high-level patient care. You will be responsible for conducting neuro and abdominal MRI exams, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining a calm and supportive environment for patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans for various examinations including neuro, abdominal, and musculoskeletal studies.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during MRI procedures.
• Adapt protocols based on patient needs and physician requests.
• Maintain equipment and assist in minor troubleshooting.
• Communicate effectively with patients and the radiologist regarding procedures and results.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Valid state licensure for MRI technology.
• Strong understanding of MRI safety and protocols.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
