This contract opportunity allows you to immerse yourself in a supportive school environment near Machesney Park, IL, working full time across two convenient locations. With students ranging from early childhood to high school, you'll have the chance to focus on an age group that aligns with your preferences and experience.

Your role will center on evaluating and supporting students’ functional, sensory, and adaptive skills—primarily in general education and resource classrooms, with some self-contained special education support. Assignment sites are arranged so you’ll remain at one location each day, streamlining your workflow and allowing you to build strong relationships within each school community.

What We’re Looking For:

• Active Illinois Occupational Therapist licensure
• Previous experience in pediatric or school-based OT settings
• Strong background in sensory integration, goal writing, and progress documentation
• Flexibility and enthusiasm for supporting varying age groups
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Comfort navigating a fast-paced school environment

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized intervention plans
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services according to IEPs
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain detailed records and participate in meetings as needed
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive school atmosphere

This W-2 position offers weekly pay, medical, dental, and vision insurance options, and 401k matching. Work 37.5 hours per week onsite on a traditional school schedule. Stay at one site per day—no inter-campus travel required during the school day. Interviews are currently being held via Zoom.
