Description: About The Father’s Heart Day Center

The Father’s Heart Day Center is a daytime resource center dedicated to serving individuals facing homelessness, poverty, and crisis. Through hot meals, supportive services, and strong community partnerships, we strive to restore hope, dignity, and connection in the lives of our guests.

As part of a new initiative, we are supporting the launch of an onsite Wound and Foot Care Clinic to provide critical, preventive care to individuals who may lack access to regular medical services.

Position Summary

We are seeking a licensed and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to operate a small, weekly or 2 times a week (days TBD) for our would care clinic at The Father’s Heart Day Center. This is a subcontractor position (not employed directly by TFH) for 10 hours per week flexible schedule.

The clinic offers non-emergency wound care, basic foot care, and hygiene education for unhoused and low-income individuals. The nurse will operate independently, bringing clinical experience and a heart for community health to this important work.

Scope of Work

• Provide wound assessment, care, and documentation
• Deliver routine foot care, including for diabetic or high-risk individuals
• Educate guests on hygiene and preventive care
• Identify and refer more serious medical issues as appropriate
• Maintain a clean, safe care environment and manage clinic supplies
• Collaborate with TFH staff and volunteers as needed to support guest care
• Provide input to help assess the success and sustainability of the pilot

Contract Details

• Hours: 10 hours/week 
• Rate: $40.00 per hour
• Status: 1099 Independent Contractor / Subcontractor
• Schedule : Flexible

Requirements: Requirements

• Active and unrestricted RN or LPN license in Oregon.
• At least 1 year of experience in wound care, community health, or related fields
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work independently and compassionately with marginalized populations
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and harm-reduction principles a plus
