Job Title: RN - Med Surg/Tele Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Active RN License Required Certifications: BLS, IV Certification for LVNs, NIH Stroke Certification Preferred Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: This position is a backfill contract for a registered nurse specializing in medical-surgical and telemetry. The role involves working on a telemetry unit with a focus on neuro medical-surgical patients. The unit accommodates a total of 30 beds. Staffing includes a mix of RNs, LVNs, and PCTs with a patient ratio of 1:5. Essential equipment includes Welch Allyn vital signs, COWs, Hoyer lifts, PCA pumps, and virtual sitter technology. EMR utilized is Meditech. Typical procedures performed on this unit include stroke evaluations, EEGs, gastric decompression, and wound care. Ideal candidates are self-motivated and team-oriented. The dress code requires navy scrubs, and hoop nose piercings are not permitted. Recognitions include multiple ICARE award winners based on patient feedback.
