Licensed Clinical Dietitian - Consultant 1099 Position

Job Title: Licensed Clinical Dietitian – Consultant (1099) Location: Gastonia, NC (On-Site/Travel to Group Homes as Needed) Organization: Gaston Residential Services, Inc. (GRS) Job Type: Contract (1099) Position Summary Gaston Residential Services (GRS) is seeking a Licensed Clinical Dietitian – Consultant (1099) to provide professional nutrition services for individuals served within our ICF and residential programs. The Dietitian will be responsible for assessing nutritional needs, developing and monitoring care plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting staff with dietary-related guidance. This is a flexible, contract-based role designed for a licensed professional who can provide ongoing consultation, periodic evaluations, and regulatory oversight. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for individuals served Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans Review physician orders and ensure dietary recommendations are clinically appropriate Provide menu planning and ensure compliance with state and federal dietary regulations Conduct routine audits of food service practices and documentation Monitor weight trends, lab values, and overall nutritional status Collaborate with nursing, clinical teams, and direct care staff Provide training and education to staff on nutrition-related topics Ensure compliance with NC DHSR , ICF/IID , and other applicable regulations Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings as needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation Qualifications Active North Carolina Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) credential required Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience (ICF/IID or long-term care preferred) Strong knowledge of therapeutic diets and medical nutrition therapy Experience with regulatory compliance and documentation standards Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule Work Schedule & Compensation Contract (1099) position Flexible schedule based on organizational needs Hours may vary (estimated monthly/quarterly visits required) Competitive contract rate based on experience Work Environment Services provided across multiple residential and ICF settings Requires travel within Gaston County and surrounding areas Interaction with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities Additional Requirements Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to pass background screening and drug screening per GRS policy Proof of professional liability insurance (if applicable for 1099 contractors) Why Join GRS At Gaston Residential Services, we are committed to “Making a Good Community Better.” You will play a critical role in enhancing the health, wellness, and quality of life for the individuals we serve. #J-18808-Ljbffr Gaston Residential Services, Inc.
