Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 13, 2026

Location: Akron, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Highlights:

• Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit providing acute care and cardiac monitoring
• Night shift schedule with consistent three-shift weekly rotation
• Opportunity to work within a major healthcare system serving diverse patient populations
• ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments completed during orientation
• Extension opportunities available up to 18 months for qualified candidates
• Pre-start modules billable up to 4 hours

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Ohio RN license or valid Compact State license (must be in hand at time of application)
• Minimum of 12 months permanent Medical/Surgical Telemetry experience required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (active at time of submission)
• NIHSS certification required
• Managerial reference from specialty area within the past 12 months required
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Influenza vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Satisfactory background check with no open cases
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
